I’ve been interested in photography since I was a kid, but I only got my first serious camera in my late 20s, a Fujifilm HS50EXR bridge camera, after years of using point-and-shoot film and digital cameras. That’s when my focus sharpened: I discovered a keen interest in shooting birds, identifying them, seeking them out, and realising how rich even an urban jungle like Bengaluru is in terms of bird and insect life. I’m drawn to the play of shadows and light, and to finding beauty in scenes that isn’t always apparent at first glance. I try to work from different perspectives, looking for compositions that bring out sharpness and starkness whether it’s a bird against a bare sky, an insect on a leaf, the silhouette of a bare tree, or a quiet corner of the city that suddenly reveals its character in the right light.

I am an amateur photographer based in India, with a deep fascination for flowers in bloom. My work focuses on close-up and intimate photographs of blossoms across India and Asia—capturing the subtle shifts in colour, form, and light that mark each stage of flowering. I am drawn to both garden cultivars and wild, everyday blooms, and I enjoy documenting the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed. Through my photography, I aim to celebrate the fleeting, delicate stories that unfold in a single flowering season.
